Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Splitly, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Splitly helps groups track shared expenses and calculate who owes whom. Balances and suggested settlements are provided for convenience and information only. Splitly is not a bank, payment processor, or provider of financial, accounting, or legal advice, and does not move money between users.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Each account is for a single person. Notify us at support@splitly.live if you suspect unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful, abusive, or infringing content; no attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service; and no automated scraping or bulk data extraction without our permission.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as expenses and receipts. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the service to you and the members of your groups.
Third-party services
The service integrates with third parties, including Google and Apple sign-in, Cloudflare R2 storage, and Firebase notifications. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that balance and settlement calculations are error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted. You are responsible for verifying amounts before settling with others.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms other users or the service.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. For questions about these terms, contact us at support@splitly.live.
